Church House Tenax Absolute Return Strategies Fund wins a 5-year performance award in the Absolute Return GBP Low category
The Church House Tenax Absolute Return Strategies Fund has won the 5-year performance honour in the 2019 Lipper Fund Awards in the Absolute Return GBP Low Category. This follows on from the successes in 2017 and 2018 when the Fund also achieved recognition.
Managed by James Mahon and Jeremy Wharton, Tenax is targeted at investors looking for consistent positive returns, on a rolling twelve-month basis, with a strong focus on capital preservation. The Fund has delivered such a return in 8 out of the last 11 complete years and it continues to be recognised, with a 5-Crown rating from Financial Express and rated fund status from the RSMR Group.
Sam Liddle, Sales Director, said “Tenax is going from strength to strength following a year of record inflows. Advisers, Private Client Managers and, of course, investors are attracted to the clarity of the fund objective and the consistency of the returns. Our goal is to give investors the returns they expect, without the shocks they fear”.
Four-time FE Alpha Manager Jeremy Wharton explains the philosophy and approach to managing Tenax: “Absolute return means just that. It should mean ensuring every investment is made with an awareness of the downside risk. To us, every investment beyond cash should offer a compelling reward potential for an appropriate level of risk. If it does not, we will hold cash or near cash instruments until valuations are more attractive”.
