Church House sponsored Corie Mapp secures Para-bobsleigh World Championship Gold.

46-year-old Army veteran and double amputee Corie achieved a long-held ambition by securing the gold medal at this year’s championship. A slender 0.3-second advantage over Jonas Frie from Switzerland was enough for Corie to bag the gold and, in so doing, complete the full set of major honours in this sport.

Having already achieved bronze and silver, this capped a remarkable title-winning season for this fantastic athlete. Six medal-winning races were enough to see him secure his third Overall World Cup title, and he has now added the World Championship Gold.

Church House CEO Jeremy Wharton said:

Corie just keeps going from success to success. His dedication is inspirational and everyone at Church House is delighted he has achieved this goal.
