Supporting the Dorset Community Foundation efforts to help those who need it most
Thankfully, the impact of Covid-19 has been minimal for us here at Church House Investment Management. Aside from the short-term disruption to operations, we have continued to do business and serve our clients. Being largely unscathed is something we are incredibly grateful for, but and we recognise that others have been less fortunate.
Through our work with the Dorset Community Foundation, we saw an opportunity to help those in need. It is a fantastic organisation and, having worked closely with them for a long time, we knew that supporting them was a great way to give something back to the local community. It works with individual donors, trusts, councils and other statutory bodies to secure funding for the county's voluntary groups. Its Dorset Coronavirus Community Fund has already raised more than £900,000.
Paul Zoltowski, Client Director at Church House and our contact with the Foundation, said "Our partnership with the Dorset Community Foundation is really important to us. Our goal has been to share best practice around investment management, to ensure local voluntary organisations can continue to do their great work. We hope by supplementing that support with a direct donation to the Foundation that the community will have a speedier recovery from the impacts of the pandemic".
"Church House is one of our most trusted partners", said Grant Robson, Director of Dorset Community. "We are extremely grateful to them, not only for this valuable donation but for the time they put in to help local organisations understand how they can best manage their invested assets".
