Michael became a main board director of Church House in 2002. He became Chairman of Church House Investment Management in 2007.

After 10 years in the British Army, Michael joined Robert Fleming & Co, the merchant bank and asset manager. Latterly (1994 – 1998), Michael was Head of Risk Management and Deputy Chairman of Robert Fleming Securities, where he was also a main board Director. Following the sale of Flemings to Chase Manhattan in 2001, Michael became MD of Atlas Capital, a US$3.6 Billion London-based fund-of-hedge funds business, until its sale in 2006.

Michael is also Chairman of Campion Capital, the fund research and distribution firm and a trustee of World Horse Welfare. Married with 3 children, Michael enjoys skiing and riding and has a BA in History from Oxford University.
